There are potentially thousands of chemical and biological toxins that could be found in your pet food, finished animal feed, and ingredients. Additionally, the synergistic effect of multiple toxins may reach greater toxic levels than when acting individually.

Testing for single compounds is unlikely to provide much information about overall toxicity. Testing for multiple compounds individually is very costly and would not provide a complete description of overall toxicity either.
